Never looking behind... « Thread Started on Feb 23, 2006, 10:56pm »
The Princess, her brother, and the other Fire Nation Royalites, along with a large group of Fire Nation Villagers were gathered around the front of the Royal Family Mosoleaum in a graveyard. Miyuki's father had passed away in a battle. The Princess wasn't against the other nations of the war, but she wasn't agains't her father's side either... She usually became angry with her father for killing so many rival benders, but she still did love him... Her brother was being trained by Ozai in becoming an elite soldier.
The Princess started having tears drip down from her eyes as her father's coffin was brought down into the large mosoleaum. She whispered the words that her father said to her before he had left for battle...
"If I don't make it back from the war... Don't look back and hold onto your past... I'll always be with you... I'll always be you're daddy... and you'll always be my little angel... Promise me you'll never hold onto your past... Ok?"
She and her fathered had hugged eachother before he left... just thinking about the memory made her cry even more...
"Ok..." she silently wimpered, "I promise..." She then leaned her agains't someone's shoulder, tears still streaming down.

Eryn looked on from behind an old oak tree. She had followed the proseccian of firebenders here, and had no idea what they were doing. In her old village, when someone passed on, they didn't bury them in a building, alone, but rather in the ancient Spirit Feild. There, they buried the body, in the earth, so that they could be one with the earth.
She looked at one person, sadder than the rest. Family. she guessed. I'll look on...to see what they're doing... eryn decided.

A sudden blast of wind flowed through the branches of the tall blossom trees, making the petals seperate from their branches and onto the sad croud below. The Princess cought one in her hand and stared at it. It made her think about how her father used to call her his "beautiful blossom".
She threw it in the air to allow it to flow in the wind with the other petals and sighed... "Even though it's just only been a few minutes since I last saw you... I already miss you..." The Princess caught another one, but this time, it was a full flower. She walked forward and slowly placed it on top of her father's coffin. She bowed down before it and walked back into the crowd as a few soldiers picked up the coffin and placed it inside the mosoleaum. Her brother came up to her and wrapped his arm aound her to comfort her.

As Haku watched, interested about this whole thing, and wondering what they could snatch,Kakashi was bored out of his mind.he tugged at his shirt, retying the sash.his shoes were worn, and he hoped he could get some new ones.up where they were,in a tree,he saw a bug,and watched it,when it started walking away, since he was still bored,he tried to follow it,but he moved to fast to catch the bug,and fell out of the tree."AHH!he yelled, landing to the side, barely missing falling on a girl."Haku slapped herself."Kakashi you idiot!she whispered to herself."

Everyone in the croud suddenly turned around to the dirrection of where the noise came from. They were busy looking around at the branches of the trees, that they didn't notice Kakashi on the ground... Everyone turned around back to the funeral. Kakashi and Haku were safe...until, some little fire nation kid saw him and started screaching.

Kakashi and Haku winced and Haku screamed silently for her little brother to get out of there, but he seemed frozen,as if parylized.finally, she couldn't take it."Get out of there Kakashi!she yelled."Kakashi scrambled to his feet, and tried to run,but tripped again.Haku jumped from the tree, and landed just to the side of him.a couple of soldiers started to get closer."if you dopes come any closer,i'll shoot this!Haku cried, getting her bow and arrow out,and ready to fire an arrow."Kakashi unsheathed his daggers.his eyes fell, and he looked horrified when he saw his former master here.

One of the soldiers raised his eyebrows in confusion. He raised his hand and began to use his Firebending to burn the arrow she as holding. When he was finished, the arrow was all black and crisp. The soldier then began to let out some fire toward the boy and the girl. "STOP IT!" a voice in the crowd yelled. The Princess pushed through the crowd and slapped the soldier. The soldier backed away, rubbing his cheek where the Princess had struck him. She held her hand out to the boy to help him up off of the ground.

Haku stepped in front of her,not trusting this fire nation girl."don't you touch him,she growled, thinking she might kill him as soon as she helped him,and knowing she had to protect her little brother with her life."

Eryn watched on, amazed. This Fire Nation person - most likely very high on the social ladder - was helping some on-looker! She got out her staff and decided to take 'get involved'. She slowly stood up, raising her staff, and fired it up. I'm ready - come and fight me! she taunted silently.

Eryn was getting tired of waiting, but could see that it was this girl's family that had died. SHe once more ducked behind the oak again, her mind rattling. Aw, c'mon. Someone she knew died. Let her alone. Part of her would say. THen the next would butt in with: Yeah, well, she's still a Fire Naiton Weathly! I say give it all we got! Eryn shook her head, then poked it outside the cover of the oak. Fine, i won't attack! she told her 'kind' self, But if they do happen to notice - and be hostile - towards me, i'll have to She added to the 'mean' one. So she began to climb the tree as silently as possible. When she reached the top, she hid carefully in the leaves so that only her feet and head showed. "Now," she mumbled, "Let's watch."

Haku looked at her feet."As I said, I'm sorry,she said."I guess i'm just very overprotective."Kakashi gave a snort."Coughyeahright!cough!he coughed."when Haku gave him a dirty look,he turned away,and began to whistle innocently.
